Do you sell anything else besides books?

Yes! We sell toys (including Legos, stuffed animals, yo-yos, toy trains, building blocks, pocket kites, and much much more ), music, books on tape, magazines, apparel (T shirts, hats, sweatshirts, bags, and socks), placemats, stationary, book lights, journals, book plates, calendars, frames, maps, newspapers, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, tissues, and artwork done by local artists. Are you open on Sundays?

Yes! We are open from 11 to 3 on Sundays. We are also open from 10 to 6 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10-7 on Thursdays and Fridays, and 10-5 on Saturdays. We are closed on Mondays.

Do you gift wrap?

We certainly do! Our gift wrap is complementary and we are happy to do it.

What is your return policy?

We are happy to take back books as long as they are in the same condition they were when we sold them. We offer store credit.

What kind of activities do you offer?

We offer adult writing groups, childrens' writing groups, adult reading groups, and childrens' reading groups. We also offer an Ethics Group Discussion led by Pawling's one and only Dr. Ed Grippe. We often have autographing (see our home page for details). We occasionally have movie night for children in the summers.

What is the benefit fo joining the book club?

The Book Cove offers a book club. Being in the book club means that every time you reach a hundred dollars in book purchases, you receive a $10 coupon off of your next purchase! The computer prints out your coupon which you can use towards your next purchase.

Do all of my purchases count towards the book club?

Any in-print book you purchase will be credited towards the book club.

Do you discount bestsellers?

We do! Any hard cover book on the New York Times Bestseller list is 20% off. We also offer a 15% discount on books that have been selected for our book groups.

What kind of gift certificates do you accept?

The Book Cove sells Book Cove certificates, and we also honor Chamber of Commerce certificates.

What can I do after I shop at the Book Cove?

Pawling has a lot to offer! McKinney & Doyle offers delicious bakery goods as well as a wonderful dining experience. You can keep up on current trends by shopping at Magnolia's Clothing Shop. Pawling also offers gift shops (Good Tidings, Synchronicity, and Earth Lore), sports shops, (Blue Line Sports or Angler's Den), and a liquor store. Looking for a more personal gift?
